The families of teens missing after a tragic blaze at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for information about their children via social media.

The inferno devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video depict the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which resulted in the death of 40 people and injured another scores more. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with work continuing to identify the remaining few.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on the internet to plead for information about their friends who were present at the venue that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near the city, informed a publication that she had returned to the city to check whether he was in the hospital, while his father did the same in Bern, but could not find him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, an ordeal. The options are finding my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. It's horrific," she told the paper.

She explained that some of his peers had been discovered with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "It's unspeakable; they went through an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's government has said that six of its citizens remain missing.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old sportsman, who hailed from Genoa but now living in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is no longer with us, without directly referencing the fire, paying tribute to a "young athlete who represented passion and true sportsmanship."

His parent, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has indicated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and ended up at the bar.

"A close friend said they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his teachers commented, "He was known for his kindness and smile, alongside great responsibility. Every time ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has published an urgent request on social media, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the case.
