Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A jet carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
